Christ Centered Education

Christ-Centered Education is the foundation of everything we do, shaping students both spiritually and academically. Faith is woven into daily life through religion classes that help students grow in their understanding of Scripture, prayer, and Catholic tradition. Each week, students gather for Mass, where every grade has the opportunity to participate in readings, music, and service at the altar. Beyond the classroom, our students live out the Gospel through action—each grade takes part in a dedicated service project every year, giving back to the wider community and learning the joy of serving others. This balance of faith formation, strong academics, and service nurtures compassionate, confident young people who are prepared to live as disciples of Christ.

Rigorous Education

At St. Francis de Sales School in Lake Zurich, we believe rigorous education means more than high expectations—it’s about challenging students while giving them the tools to succeed. As a two-time U.S. Department of Education Blue Ribbon School, SFS is recognized for academic excellence and a commitment to growth. Our students experience a strong core curriculum enriched with art, music, technology, Spanish, and physical education, ensuring a well-rounded education. Advanced math pathways allow many students in grades 4–8 to move ahead, while small-group instruction and personalized support help every learner reach their fullest potential. With dedicated teachers, a low student-to-teacher ratio, and technology-rich classrooms, SFS fosters a learning environment where students are engaged, inspired, and prepared for success in high school and beyond.

Engaged Community

At St. Francis de Sales School in Lake Zurich, our community is at the heart of who we are. Families, teachers, staff, and parishioners work together to create a welcoming, faith-filled environment where every child feels supported and valued. Parents are active partners in their child’s education, participating in school events, volunteering, and contributing their time and talents to strengthen our programs. Students also learn the importance of giving back through annual grade-level service projects that make a real difference in the local community. Rooted in faith and united in purpose, the SFS community is more than a school—it’s a family dedicated to helping children grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

Gaga Ball Pit donated by Girl Scout Troop 1900

Girl Scout Cadette Troop 1900 is proud to donate this Gaga Ball Pit to St. Francis de Sales School. The troop would like to thank our generous donors, all who bought cookies, as those funds were used for materials for the build, all the parents, grandparents, and siblings who helped build it on a Sunday in early June, and Fr. Ryan for allowing us space on the property to build.
