Third Grade
Dear Third Grade parents:
Our Christmas concert is quickly approaching. It will be held on Thursday, December 14th at 7pm. Please have your students there by 6:30. Your children have been working so hard and can’t wait to share with you. I have chosen a short little musical for third grade this year. They will be presenting the nativity through the eyes of the animals who live near the manger. Many of the students have volunteered for speaking roles. You will find the scripts attached. Please help them read their lines fluently. They don’t have to have them memorized but if they do, super!
Costumes are optional and can be as simple or elaborate as you desire. An example could be to simply glue felt cutouts that resemble the animal’s ears on to plain plastic headbands, and tee shirts or fleece warm-up suits in the color of each animal. The angels should wear all white with wings attached. Their halos can be made out of white or silver pipe cleaners attached to white headbands. Please no masks.
The narrators can wear their Christmas best. The students who do not have speaking parts can either wear their Christmas best or choose an animal to dress up as.
