Q. Does the school offer financial assistance?
A. St. Francis de Sales Parish School is the most affordable Catholic grade school in our area, offering value to parents seeking a quality, Catholic education for their children. We recognize, however, that some families still might not be able to afford the full cost of tuition. To ensure that those families have access to our outstanding academics in a safe, faith-based environment, we offer several tuition assistance programs. You can find an overview of these programs here.
Q. Does St. Francis accept students of all faiths and backgrounds?
A. Absolutely. You do not have to be Catholic to attend St. Francis. St. Francis de Sales School's mission is rooted in the Catholic/Christian faith, yet we understand the value of diversity and welcome students of all beliefs. All students grow intellectually from an excellent curriculum in English, mathematics, social studies, science and the arts, which has twice been recognized with a national Blue Ribbon Award. As part of our Catholic Tradition, students are invited to participate in the religious and cultural life of the school, including daily prayer and weekly all-school Mass. We believe the invitation to grow spiritually, inside and outside daily Religion class, prepares students to make an impact on our world and sets St. Francis de Sales School apart from its peers.
Q. Do we have to become parishioners at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church?
A. No, you do not need to become a parishioner at the Church; however, we invite you to explore our parish and our faith-based community. All of our students are exposed to the religious and cultural life of the school, including daily prayer, religion class, and weekly all-school Mass. We believe the invitation to grow spiritually uniquely prepares students to make an impact on our world, and sets St. Francis de Sales apart from its peers.
Q. What are your faculty qualifications?
A. All of our teachers have a Bachelor's degree, and many have obtained a Master’s degree. Our teachers attend a minimum of six in-service days each year, and the majority attend additional workshops and classes. Five teachers have been nominated for the Golden Apple Award. Our teachers, on average, have been at St. Francis for 14 years.
