Important Vocabulary for Scientific Experimentation
Observation - the use of your five senses to gather information about the natural world

Qualitative observation - an observation that describes an object by quality or description using your senses but without using numbers.

Quantitative observation - an observation that uses numbers and units, for measurement or description.

Inference - an assumption made based on an observation that may or may not be true.

Leave 1 or 2 pages of space in your science notebook to add more definitions to this section later .

2) Complete the attached worksheet(WS) by answering the questions at the end (Questions 1-8) and submit the WS to this assignment tab.

Please print out the attached Safety Contract, read through it with your parents. Fill out the bottom portion of the contract with your name and signature and have a parent sign as well. Take a picture of the signed contract and submit to this assignment tab.
