Find your name on the Google Sheet and click that sheet. On line 3, enter the corporation's name that you chose to follow, the ticker symbol for that stock, whether it was on the DOW or NASDAQ, and the stock's closing price as of Friday, October 18th.
Also on line 3 under the "Fact About/Affecting the Corporation", write what the corporation makes or does.
You will be updating this form every Friday with the closing price of your chosen stock plus a fact that you learned about your corporation.

Read the remainder of the T15.4 Civil Rights Movement, p.823-835, from the headings The Montgomery Bus Boycott up to and including the Gay and Lesbian Rights Movement. Answer the questions on the attached Google Doc and turn it in by 3:00 pm.

Take brief notes from p.819-823, beginning with the heading Civil Rights up to and including the A Jury of Peers heading. Note the definition of segregation, examples of how groups were experiencing discrimination; what association helped African Americans; describe two events in the 1940s that broke some segregation barriers; and explain the Plessy vs. Ferguson court case and the Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka Supreme Ct case; note whether most people wanted to desegregate schools willingly; state the name of the association that helped Mexican Americans fight for their civil rights; and note if Mexican Americans were allowed to sit on juries during this time. Please turn your notes into Google Classroom by 3:00 pm.

Attached please find the map assessment on a Google Slide. Follow the directions at the top of the map and turn it into Google Classroom during your regularly scheduled class.

Then, log onto Pearson and complete the posted assignment fully. Do not click the check box until you have completed all the activities on all the slides.

Today you will be learning about an armed conflict that the United States became involved in during the Cold War. You will be completing notes on p, 804-808 from the Heading T15.2 Korea and Other Postwar Conflicts up to but not including A Cold War Around the Globe. Turn the notes in by 3:00 pm today.

Remember, on Tuesday you do not have class; it is an E-Learning Planning day.

On Wednesday, we will have an Google Meet. We will review a World Map and locate where many of these post WWII wars occurred. You will also complete a quick assignment.

On Thursday, we will continue to learn the effects that the Cold War had on our country and others. On Friday, you will complete a short assessment.

Attached you will find your T15.1 Assessment regarding the events during the beginning of the Cold War.

There are three portions to this assessment. The first is matching, #1-7, the second is a paragraph answer, and the third is a map drawing. These assessments are on Google Slides so you may use text boxes to answer the first two portions. For the third portion, you may use the Google Slides scribble function next to the shapes icon to draw your map and use the text boxes to label OR you can print the third portion on the second slide, draw and label according to the directions, and turn it in. This assessment is due at the end of your class period.

The videos/article feature examples for the WWII paragraph. You may need to research other people through videos/articles that may help in formulating your paragraph regarding another historic event. I hope that you had a wonderful Easter and that you enjoyed your four days off of school.

Today, please finish your WWII notes, from p. 788-793. Begin with the heading Japan Surrenders and finish through Postwar Challenges. Review your maps and notes understanding which countries were affiliated with which side, either Allied or Axis Powers. Note that the Soviet Union primarily fought with the Allied Side once Germany turned on them early in the war. When you have completed your notes, turn them in. The notes are due by 3:00 pm.

Your five paragraph essay and map on WWII will be due on Friday, April 17th. I will post more information and resources regarding the assessment on Thursday morning.

This is your 5 paragraph essay question on the WWII test. In your essay, you must give three specific examples: one must be about WWII; one must be from another event in history; and the final must be about you-how can/did you make a difference in someone's/others' life/lives? The first paragraph is your introductory paragraph, the next three paragraphs deal with the specific examples (one paragraph each), and the final or fifth paragraph is your concluding paragraph. I will attach articles/videos to help you with WWII on Wednesday.

After we meet, please read the World History Play regarding Irena Sendler, based on a true story of events during WWII. Then answer this question: How did Irena Sendler stand up for other peoples' rights?

Then, read the first hand account from Aaron Elster during his incarceration in a Polish ghetto during WWII. After reading, answer this question: How does Aaron's feelings change from his first entry to his second written entry/account of what was happening?

You will be reading T14.3, p. 775-781, from the heading The Home Front up to and including the heading Problems for Other Americans at Home, and responding to the attached questions. You may use bullet points instead of writing with complete sentences. Please turn it in when you have finished. It is due by 3:00 pm today.

The first assignment is on ixl. Please complete the Social Studies 4th Grade WWII assignment, E8. Make sure you take your time and answer to the best of your ability as I will enter the grade as an assessment. It is similar to the information that you had during the 1st and 2nd lessons in Topic 14.

The second assignment, requires you to read the attached article and then respond to the following questions:
1. How and why did Nazis control information?
2. How and why did Karl, Helmuth and Rudi use information to fight the Nazis?
Use text evidence from the article to support your answers and write with complete sentences.

Turn in the second assignment on a Google Doc when you have finished. It is due by 3:00 pm.

Today, you will be creating your own primary source document, a first hand account of life as it is now for you, the author.
You will be creating this primary source document in journal form. Write your name at the top plus Journal after it on a Google
Doc. Please title your document's name with the same words so that you can find it easily. Add today's date in the upper left
hand corner.

You will be writing about your life and how it has been affected since last Monday. Please be specific when explaining how, or if, your life has changed when writing
about the following topics: school; relationships with family and friends; relationship with Jesus; any extracurricular activities (dance, volleyball, etc). Then include ways that you are passing the time while not in school.

This journal entry should be double spaced with a type 12 font and should be at least one page in length.

I would like you to research the results from yesterday's primary election results.
On a Google Doc, note who is favored and by how much (percentage) for the Republican and Democratic
candidacy for this year's Presidential General Election. Make sure to cite your sources.

Since it is the Illinois Presidential Primary Election day,
you will take a quiz to help you understand the current issues facing our country.
Each question relating to a topic has a Learn More button that can clarify what the definition
of the topic is and/or provides more information about the issue. As a citizen of the United States,
I encourage you to read as much as you can about each question/topic before you click on an answer.
At the end of the quiz, it will tell you which candidate shares most of your beliefs. With that being said,
this is one of many quizzes available, but is a start to your understanding of your civic learning and
eventual duty to vote.

After the quiz, go back and take a look at the three issues that are most interesting to you.
Summarize your thoughts on these issues on a Google Doc and tell me if the candidate
you thought you would have voted for in the Presidential primary is the one that the quiz matched
