We are beginning a new Chapter called "A Trip Through Geologic Time". We will use our blue Earth Science textbooks and navigate Chapter 8, Lesson 1-4. We will spend about 2 weeks on this Chapter.
L1: Fossils (we will not spend much time on this lesson)
L2: Relative Age of Rocks
L3: Radioactive Dating
L4: Geologic Time

For today's lesson, Read Lesson 1 pp242-251 and complete the following vocabulary in your science binders: fossil, paleontologist, evolution, extinct (no need to do Frayer Models and we are not completing all the vocabulary for this lesson - only the 4 words I have listed).

Take a pic of your vocab words and submit to this tab for a homework grade.

Please print the attached document and complete a FINAL model of Kileaua and Mt. St. Helen.

Pay close a attention to the Must Haves (Must Haves = ideas you should include in your model at the minimum). Please use your science notebook progress trackers to help you include the important ideas from this unit. Be sure to use color.

If you prefer not to print or are having trouble printing the document, then please convert this to a Google Document and use Google Draw and text to explain your final model.

Upon completion, take a picture of the two pages with your Chromebook or Phone and upload the pics to your Google Drive and then to this Tab. Or if you completed electronically, submit your document to this tab.

This will be used as a quiz grade. Up to 18 points.
I've included a Word and a pdf file (the pdf may be better for printing)
