About Mr. Walker

Hello and welcome!

 

I am Mr. Walker and I am in my fifth year of teaching here at St. Francis and I am very excited for another great year! 

 

Background:

    I have a B.A. in physical education and coaching K - 12 from Concordia University St. Paul Mn.

Before coming to St. Francis I was teaching at St. Joseph Wilmette, and before that I was a public school teacher in Cary district 26 .  Teaching is a second career for me, I have over 20 plus years working for the Y.M.C.A. in both St. Paul and Chicago area Y's as a Director.

 

I live in Cary with my wife, Our two grown children are married and we have five wonderful grand children.  I have always lived an active lifestyle and participated in many sports and intramurals in high school and college.  My favorite exercise is speed walking and I enjoy playing golf.  I also enjoy playing the guitar and singing at open mics and playing in church.  It is my hope that my students learn to have a passion for sports and games and continue to grow into strong and confident in their faith and learning.
